Pop’s BBQ was started in the
spring of 2009. The inspiration came from the fun of cooking BBQ and
the death of my father in 2008. I started a mission to find out more
about BBQ cookers and the way people did their
BBQ.
I went to
every BBQ joint from Nashville to Birmingham talked to a neat group people and ate
a bunch of BBQ
The main thing I found out about BBQ is that everyone
does their own thing. So, I just combined a little bit of everything I
learned and ran with it. By the way, if you’re wondering about the name,
everybody called my dad POP!!
