Pop’s BBQ was started in the spring of 2009.  The inspiration came from the fun of cooking BBQ and the death of my father in 2008.  I started a mission to find out more about BBQ cookers and the way people did their BBQ. 

I went to every BBQ joint from Nashville to Birmingham talked to a neat group people and ate a bunch of BBQ

The main thing I found out about BBQ is that everyone does their own thing.  So, I just combined a little bit of everything I learned and ran with it.  By the way, if you’re wondering about the name, everybody called my dad POP!!

   
 


Our pork butts are slow cooked for 12 hours with hickory wood and pulled by hand. 

You can also find our St. Louis Style Ribs on our menu and sometimes on our all you can eat buffet.  If you like sauce on your BBQ, you will love our homemade BBQ sauce.
