 The Tennessean Truckstop Inc. is a family
owned and operated business that was started in 1974. The Owners Mr. and Mrs. Van
Westerop had immigrated to the United States in 1956.
They started working in a bakery and after many years of hard work they had achieved the “American
Dream”. Mr. Van Westerop passed away in 2008, but the Tennessean is still owned and operated
by the family.
We have simply stuck to the fundamentals of having
a clean place with good food, and a friendly family atmosphere. We have a great mix of
people that come in our place from Truck Drivers, tourists, locals, businessman and
entertainers. We even take care of the many convoys of our Military as they pass by our
place!
